Track Out Practice

Track Out is for fun and relaxation!  Enjoy every minute of your track out!  Be safe! 

As your teacher, I want you to have fun, but also keep thinking and using your brain.  Here are some ideas and activities you can do over track out to exercise your mind…and earn dojos. J

Math –     

1.     See practice sheets below.
2.     Bake or cook with a family member.
3.      Xtramath

Reading –

1.     Read at least 15 minutes each day. 
2.     Create a journal (pictures, ideas, questions, or more) of what you read.
3.     Design a new book cover for a book you read and write why others should read it too.
4.     BINGO board
5.     40 Book Challenge

Writing –

1.     Keep a journal of what you do over track out. 
2.     Select and write about the following writing prompts.
Describe your favorite fall memory.
Write a story from the point of view of an apple, a pumpkin, or a leaf in the fall? 
Jack Frost is a symbol of winter.
Create and describe a figure for fall. 
Fall is a season filled with gratitude, as people prepare for Thanksgiving & the holiday season.  
Describe what you feel thankful for this autumn.

Imagine that you are as tiny as a mouse and live inside a pumpkin. Describe your fall adventures and do include an owl.
Carving pumpkins is a fun fall activity. 
Design and write about how to create the best Jack ‘o Lantern.   
Write about taking a walk or hike in the fall.  Think about what you would see, smell, hear, feel, taste. 
You & a friend are raking leaves.  Suddenly, your friend jumps into a deep pile of leaves…and disappears! Not knowing what else to do, you follow him. 
Write a story about your adventure.   
Fall is filled with fun & games (football, baseball, bobbing for apples).  Create & write about a NEW game.
